There's a lot to translate there...

Here's a link to Babelfish. Copy what you want translated, paste it in the text box, select German to English, and click the button. It'll look like broken english sometimes, but will be close enough to understand what it's saying.

Good luck!

http://babelfish.yahoo.com/

Here's the first paragraph...

Hello municipality, as already in other place announced, a few pictures of my current building project. My Panzerchen is to shortly make also on the water a good figure. So that it thereby also which becomes, I planned a pretty landing boat by right to rooms! As collecting main for this (like so often) a paper model construction set served me. As building material I procured 4mm Birkensperrholz in the building market of my confidence (approx. a 2x2m remaining piece for 6 EUR). I made the skin with 3mm Balsaholz.

Rye,

You can also type in the website url into the box below what Ern directed you to. This option will translate the whole page. Or, go to this link where it's already translated > http://babelfish.yahoo.com/translate_url?doit=done&tt=url&intl=1&fr=bf-home&trurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.rc-panzerketten-forum.com%2Fwbb2%2Fthread.php%3Fthreadid%3D3951+&lp=de_en&btnTrUrl=Translate

You won't be able to advance to the next page in the translation but at least it will give you the whole page and then you can come back and enter the url of the 2nd page and begin the process again.

translation to American

Hello Community,

As with the other places, photos from my actual scratchbuild project. My little tank should present a good looking figure. That it would be so, I made a nice landing boat for it. As a guide, as usual, a paper model kit was used. Building material consists of Birch plywood from leftovers. (from the market 2x2mm pieces for 6 Euros.) Planks are from 3mm Balsa.

hope this helps.

I translated the first para, but you may want to write and request the article in English. Englisch is a mandatory subject in all German schools and he would probably be happy to send you a translation.. Babelfish comes out like a Chinese instruction manual.

If I understand what you are trying to do, I think that you have it the other way around.
If you are creating a 1/48th scale item from 1/16th scale specifications, you should divide the measures (in 1/16th) by three.
However, if you are creating a 1/16th scale item from 1/48th plans, you would multiply the measures (in 1/48th) by three.

Or am I still asleep and just don't know it?
