i was giving my revo a cleaning today. turned it upside down to get some dirt off. i went to start it up...nothing...no controls. i was then thinking that maybe my on board batteries were dead. so i did the usual charge..nothing. i checked for any cut wires, loose plugs into the servos...i'm coming up clueless here. i don't see anything wrong. any suggestions what might be going on or what i'm not doing? it worked just fine yesterday...

oh, and just to point out, i have the stock controls.

hmm sounds like a crystal problem, did you get them wet? take them out and blow them off and re-install them. Does the reciever come on?

Maybe a pinched/broken antenna, or battery wire.

if it's a pinched antena wire, does that mean i got to get a new receiver. that could be a possibility since i did turn it over. won't be sure till i get home from work to inspect it

This one does definately sound like either a transmitter problem or a receiver problem, but its probably more likely something with the transmitter from the sounds of things; especially if the light on the receiver comes on nice and bright....

no, a new rx would not be needed
maybe a new antenna wire

but a pinched antenna wire will not usually
cause complete non-responsiveness either
loss of range and bad glitching but not no response at all

check your connections on the rx you might put it in backwards or not on the right place.

well, i checked out the antenna and i see that i have 2 small pinches. i borrowed my friend's receiver off of his revo, plugged everything in using my crystals and radio and all worked just fine. i then hooked up my receiver after attempting to straighten out my antenna and i noticed that the steering servo glitched a little bit. so i'm guessing it's the antenna since i did turn it over for cleaning. the wire must've pinched while being upside down. can i just solder a new antenna wire into the receiver or do i have to get a brand receiver all together?
