Well....I have become an addict to the hobby! I flew a esky lama g3..mastered that. Then I went to a Blade CP pro...and mastered that. Recently I purchased a Belt cp....and Im doing rolls..loops....and flips with it!!! I just wanted to know what I should get for my frist kit. Please remember that I have no computer radio experience or ANYTHING! I was used to taking it out of the box and flying. Could you also tell me what equipment I should get for the kit ( motor..ESC...Servos...etc.).

Since you don't mention a price range, I'm going to assume that you have no problems blowing money away.

Kit: Avant Aurora
Servos: Jr 87171 (x3)
Gyro: JR 770 3D with 8900 Servo
Radio: JR 12X (2.4) With JR921 Receiver.
Governor: CY Solid G or Multigov or Trottle Jockey
Engine: Os 91 SZ-H w/ Cline Mod or YS 91SR

Of course I'm Kidding, that would be my dream machine, and is definitely more thatn I want to spend on a helicopter right now.

Tell us what your budget is, and we could give you more information on where to start looking.

Nice dream machine but I think I'd replace that gyro with the Spartan DS760 or Solid G gyro but I do like your other choices. The Curtis Youngblood governor is called the ATG.

As to what comes after a Belt CP, I'd take a good look at the Hurricane EP550. Great value and performance.

Ok....Well....I will say that I have a budget of around...450$ That should be able to get me a DX6I and leave me a little left to get the kit. I am just planning on getting the ARF kit and slowly like 1 week I will get the servoes...the next week I will get the motor...etc. Also...I had a little question...which was that are larger helis more stable...or is it just me?

The larger the heli, the more stable it is. With $450 minus the cost of the DX6i (just transmitter?) would not leave you much for a kit. The hurricane 550 kit is $320 comes with motor and esc.

have a look at this kit, its a flasher 450. i just recieved mine and started the build. its a very nicely built rex v2 clone. the price is good too.

if you get cheap servo's, a 30a esc and 3500kv motor you can prolly get it in the air for around 300.00, depending on your gyro.....

Hmmmm.....The flasher sounds interesting! I might just might get that. Now al i have to do is sel some other helis off!

Thanks for the correction on the CY governor, I got them comfused as I was typing.

I have little to no experience with the Spartan, and the Solid G that I have, is giving me problems. Since it was given to me, I have no clue if it is from the first batch of gyros of from subsequent batches. I'll have to call CYE to figure it out.

CY had a recall on their solid G gyros due to some metallic dust that was not cleaned out properly during manufacturing. I would contact CY and send it to them for the free cleaning just in case.

To the OP, clones are hit and miss, they are significantly cheaper but quality control is not as good. Not all clones are made the same either, the copterx and hdx are very good, not sure of the others. As for "the next step" from a Belt CP, I still suggest you go larger rather than another 450. Why would you build another 450 with electronics like a 30amp esc and 3500kv motor? Where's the upgrade?

Yes, that is what I meant by first batch or subsequent batches. I need to contact them.
