Status: offline 		okay so I ended up with a older t maxx today, took it to my LHS and the guy said it was one of the very first ones that came with a .15 motor. well its got a HPI motor on it now... anyways this thing needs a few things so i walk about $60 later with all kinda stuff.

well he sold me
tranny yokes,
diff yokes
bulk heads
motor screws
driveshafts for front and rear
and the axles for the front

cause someone took all of the 4 wheel drive stuff off of it.

anyways he said I needed to change the yokes and all to newer stye cause the drivesharfs wouldnt fit, well i get home and take it apart and it looks the same to me, so is all that changed was the size?
I think whoever had this truck changed out to newer ones already.

the guy I got it from didnt know much at all, he got it from a buddy of his who used to run it but not in a while.

Anyways I have one big question how in the heck do you get the steel ball things onto the driveshafts?

All the screws for the fram were mesed up had to drill those now I need new frame plastic.

Anyways I also had to oder a tiger starter thing for the motor cause HPI no longer make the motor I have and the pull start spring is broke.

Hope I have it all back together by next wed so I can just mount the tiger start and mount the motor and be ready to fire her up.

Status: online 		traxxas gives you a yoke tool, but I will assume you don't have one. basically just get a small piece of metal and cut a "U" shape into it to fit the prongs on the steel u-joint ball. if that isn't possible, it will be hard but you just have to pry the yokes open and put one prong in first, then pry a little more and rotate it into the other hole.

Status: offline 		thanks, I think I have one of those for my smaller trucks, I also have a rustler and had a pede till I sold it today. will try that, So I guess you have to remove it from the truck to insert them put back onto the truck.

Status: offline 		how can you know 100% what size ones you have, I mean the yokes should line up with each other right, when you put them together to see. ..

Sorry never had a 4x4 truck before.

this is bigger and more to it then my stampede and Rustler.

Status: offline 		well got all the axels and yokes and all changed out, wow that was not fun. hope do not have to do again for a while, not got to put the pegs in and put the spur gear on and then wait till wed when my tiger drive comes in to put the motor back on.
