I have purchased two Jett Red Tuned mufflers for my OS 46AX and OS 55AX engines.

I see silicone exhaust deflectors have been used with your mufflers.

What sort of power decrease (if any) could I expect to see using silicone exhaust deflectors.

I noticed you recommended an internal diameter larger than the exhaust outlet. I would fit one as you recommended.

Cheers

No effect on power output or performance.

You want a tube that has an inside diameter that slips over the tail piece on the muffler. Then secure it with a thin zip tie. Try and keep the length to a minimum.... under 2.5" is a good target.

Typically the 40-90 size deflectors from Great Planes and Dubro work ok. You would want to avoid anything much longer than that.
