Well like so many others my steering servo died on my older stock pede. Nothing surprising there. I had a few spares of the stock servo and ran them until they died as well. I finally went and asked for a nice servo to end this issue at my LHS. I bought a Hitec HS-645MG ultra torque at the recommendation of the worker at the LHS. The problem I have is that the head of the servo itself is a bit smaller than the opening in the servo saver and I can't get any friction to grab and steer. Everything just slips since it doesn't touch the walls of the servo saver. I would run to the LHS and have them help but I have since moved and any help is at least an hour away and I really have a little distrust in them anyways. I didn't know if I could run without the servo saver without risk of ruining this servo as well. The last thing I want to do is break this expensive servo. If there is a correct servo saver to buy please point me in the right direction. I just would like to get this running again and need a little help.

EDIT: I search a bit more and found I need an OFNA or Kimbrough servo saver to fit this servo.

you need a servo horn with 23 teeth......with that servo you don't need a servo saver

Its a good idea with any servo to run a servo saver not matter how strong the gears are. After awhile of it being whipped around, it will destroy the servo motor. Trust me. Ihave proof down in my trash...

I've been running the same steer servo in my maxx with no saver for over 2 yrs. The only servo saver that works well is the one that is built in to the bellcrank steering posts....the Servo/Saver /Horns are garbage IMO.
