getting mini t shocks to stop leaking
 

i have oil filled mini t pro shocks. and they leak
i thought it was the seal
i replaced it and they steal leak
i did not over tighten them either i hand tightened them
then 1/8ths turn over that as the directions said.
can anyone tell me how to get these to stop leaking.

you need to use this kind of think white plumbing ribbon ...it helps a little i remembered when my lil bro had a mini baja shocks would leak all the time

the mini baja shocks are suppose to leak all the time be casue they are pretty cheap .. use $25 and get the 3racing mini t alum shocks 3racing makes good shocks

You can also use more than one of the thin seals. I used to have the losi oil shocks on my mini t when i had it. I loved the losi oil shocks. If you use two or three of the little clear gaskets on each shock cap then it will not leak at all. Or even use a little bit of silicone sealant on the threads and then put the caps on. That will definitely keep them from leaking and you really need to pay attention on how much oil you put in them when you rebuild them or they will have so much pressure in them that they will leak at the o-rings.

yeah i didnt over fill them and i preloaded them. i kinda thought about useing a couple seals but was like eh
i guess ill have to rebuild them and do that.

If that does not keep them from leaking then try the silicone sealant idea. I just rebuilt my oil shocks on my chaos buggy and used the silicone on the threads and they work perfectly and don't leak a drop now. And it is still easy to take back apart to rebuild or change shock oil wt and the sealant just peels right off and you just put some new on the threads and put back together.
