Okay, I turned on my radio system today and herd a buzzing noise. I found out right away that it was the shift servo fighting to get all the way into forward. I took the lid off of the servo box and the noise stopped. I tried to put the lid back on and seen the servo arm was pushing on the little cutout. It stopps and is perfect when i put it in reverse.

Any ideas

servo ????
opti-drive????
tranny????
raido????

i had the same exact problem with mine.. after letting it set for a week or so i decided to drive it.. when i turned it on i heard a buzzing sound and the green light on the opti drive was blinking.. i knew it was working perfect when i last used it. so i read the book,,asked questions and looked it over.

like you i took off the cover and saw nothing that i could see that was wrong. so i replaced the cover,,charged the battey and then it was fine.. maybe your batteries are weak???/ i use the hump pack and that is what i charged.. so what ever you are using either charge or replace and make sure nothing is binding against the opti drive case.. you should be alright..jake

the little hole in the cover for the box dosen't give it enough travel to get all the way into forward. so when i take the top of the box ofit works fine because nothing is hitting aganst it.

Sounds like maybe u need to take the servo horn of the servo and ajust[I know Brain fart] and let the servo recenter itself. Then, make sure its all the way in forward and put the horn back on...

Or you could do like me and burn out 2 different shifting servos, replace all your electronics and have another one burn itself out, send it all to traxxas and have the post office lose the box somewhere in Garland instead of delivering it to Plano.

I'm just about ready to throw my revo against the wall REAL hard.
