I think the Monsoon has more power because it has a bigger engine but what about the speed?

The monsoon goes 32.5 mph, the battalion will do about the same. If you want a truggy check out the himoto RXT-1 its the upgraded version of the exceed and redcat. It also does about 40 mph.

no they are not. The himoto has the pivot ball suspension the redcat has the kingpin front suspension. The redcat had to go back to the am electronics, the himoto comes with an fm radio. The himoto is less heavy and is much faster.

i dont see how cause they are made in the same factory, they should be the same weight. the megap series but i wouldnt think the regular.

You could always just get the ultralight series, the maelstorm lt, better gas mileage and pretty cheap too

Its like saying that a cadillac and a chevy are the same because they come out of the same factory. you will notice that non of the redcats run the pivot ball suspension. While himoto and team vtx do. They are not the same.

but the thing is that chevy and cadillac are exactly the same, the only differece is cosmetic. i doubt that their weight is much different. couldnt be that much, miniscule.

I own 2 torpeda/hurricanes and himoto rxb-1 buggy....the monsoon and hurricanes use alot of the same parts...the rxb-1 is night and day difference between the hurricanes and it is the same between the monsoon and the rxt-1...totally different rc's...you cannot compare the the rxb-1 buggy to the hurricane..just like you cannot compare the monsoon to the rxt-1...totaly different

in what ways though, i dont see how there could be a huge jump in weight and all that, they are basically the same engines and will be eventually and they are mostly the same, so how are they so much better supposedly??

pivot ball suspension...the plastic is more flexable...it is a tad lighter (not much)...dont get me wrong...my torpedas are nice buggies..I would tell anyone to buy a torpeda/hurricane/razor...they are all the same and are all nice buggies...get the kinks worked out of them and they are very tuff...im sure the same could be said for the battalion and the monsoon..they are nice truggies...but running on a track or racing give me the rxt-1 or rxb-1 ..better handleing and the fly better.....and they are not basically the same....totally different design...

I'd rather not get something with kinks to begin with.

they all got kinks of some sort...the only issue I had with the torpeda (hurricane /razor) was the front hub threads getting pulled or the screws coming out...put a couple drops of tire glue on the threads and put the screw in and tighten it problem solved

i looked, and the suspension look like it would be the same weight wise, maybe it will handle a little better, i dont know that kind of stuff, but it looks to me like its basically the same. does the same function and even though its a different design, looks the same weight. so they may handle different, but i dont believe you at all about performance, when i see them vs each other right out of the box ill believe. sorry im not trying to be ignorant or anything but i just dont see it. Im talking about the monsoon vs the rxt-1 btw

I cant say I know that the rxt-1 will out handle the monsoon...but I'm pretty darn sure it would...I do however KNOW that the rxb-1 will out handle the hurricane no problem..and being that the rxt-1 shares parts with the rxb-1 as of which the monsoon shares parts with the hurricane its a no brainer
