Hello,

I'm used to using other chargers that when for example you put a 2100MAH lipo battery at 2.1 amps, the charger will slowely increase to 2.1 and then when maxing out it will slowely decrease down the amps till complete. My questions is, the brain 989 starts right away with lip's at 2.1amps for a 2100, isent it suppose to slowely reach 2.1 and not start at 2.1? please help. thank you.

The slow initial current ramp up, like what the Triton does, is just an added safety feature. As long as the charger keeps the current at or below 1C, and it keeps the voltage at or below 4.2V/cell, it's doing it's job properly.

In fact, the Triton does this slow initial current ramp-up in NiMH and other modes as well the LiPo mode. Like I said, just an added safety feature GP thought they'd add to their charger.
