I have now been through 3 spur gears in a short period of time... First one was my fault, second the bearings were shot in the CB, Now I am unsure whats causing it. I bought this rig used, there was no spring between the nut and the spur gear. Does this come on the tmaxx 3.3 stock? Looking at the exploded veiw on Traxxas's website I do not see it.

There is one stock on the 2.5 t-maxx. I don't think the 3.3 uses it though. Reason being they used the Revo slipper clutch assembly on the T-maxx 3.3 and that didn't use the spring your talking about. What model do you have?

No, I just like to run it in a gravel parking lot down the road, I really dont jump but I am tearing them up bad. This last time I am not sure how I tore it up, I may have made it to tight, the slipper kept spinning, and it was making me mad, so I tightened it up real tight and got about two laps up and down my gravel driveway and it was shot.... I dont think it was meshed real well either. I plan on replacing it tonight and running it at work tomorrow to see what happens.
