i bought a second hand 5955tg a while ago and while it has performed perfectly,it does sound slightly gritty.im assuming the gear has worn slightly or maybe damaged? I dont have another to compare it to,but its noticably gritty compared to my 5645 and 645 which ive had from new.can the gears be turned around to eliminate this or should i leave well alone?

I strongly doubt that your 5955TG has worn gears they are a *very* hard-wearing gearset (thanks to the titanium alloy used).

If you're experiencing some "grittiness" when turning the servo-arm by hand with the power off then that's completely normal they're all like that from new.

Unless you're experiencing some significant backlash, I'd say your servo is fine.

good good, I'll leave it alone then!

Like I said before, it works perfectly, there is absolutely no play whatsoever, and it nearly broke my finger when I was playing around with it!

A few of my 5955's do the same thing. Some do and some don't but they all work fine.
