My friend just bought the e-flight Mentor T-34 which came with the DX6i radio and its associated receiver. He also bought two additional receivers, probably the AR6200? He wants to use the extra receivers in two existing planes with existing and varied servos.

Could anyone provide the Spektrum "RX-to-servo" wiring details? Color code and/or pattern? Some of his existing servos are older Futaba. He says he can cut off the tab on the servo connector but then doesn't know which way to insert the connector into the RX.

Can he damage the RX if he inserts the servo connector the wrong way? I doubt it but I don't have the knowledge to be sure.

We'll greatly appreciate any advice

Thanks

Frank

The Rx case has the Polarity marked. Futaba uses Red (+), Black (-) and JR/Spektrum uses Red (+) and Brown (-).

The Spektrum case has very tight channel sockets. Even 3rd party JR compatible male connectors are difficult to fit in the Spektrum channel sockets. The Futaba male connector needs to have the Polarity Fin removed and the appropriate edges of the connector Beveled, otherwise, you may be able to Force it in, but it will be difficult getting it out.

I connect 3" JR or Spektrum extensions to the Receiver, that fit in easily, and then I connect the servos to the other end of the extensions. MPI makes Universal extensions that have a JR male and a Futaba female connector.
