I am considering buying a team associated RC8 RS RTR. i am looking for something very durable for some backyard bashing but at the same time would like to be able to hit the track every once in a while with no problem. am i looking in the wrong place or is a buggy exactly what i want. any comments on this buggy or any recommendations on another car? and how good is the engine that comes with the RC8 RTR?

I would suggest the 8ight.
2 reasons
1- nice spektrum radio
2- probably the best rtr engine, mach.

Well, I like my RC8 rtr. The TT engine may not be the most powerful RTR engine ever made, but it's got plenty of zip and is very easy to tune, like most Thunder Tiger made products. I hear lots of people whining about how fragile the RC8 is, and I wonder what they're on about. Mine has taken some pretty good beatings thanks to my lack of track skills, and I haven't yet broken anything. Worst problem I've had is the preload clips on the front shocks sometimes pop off when I crash and get tangled up in the pipes. As far as the radio goes, the XP3D is a really nice radio for an RTR unit. It's FM, but it has 10 model memory, expo, subtrims, and other features, plus it's module based, so you may be able to convert it to 2.4ghz if there is a compatible module.
