I know nothing about servos as far as their sizes and specs. Digtal versus analog? What do all the manufacturer's numbers mean?
Can somebody point me to a thread that has a nice collection of information about servos or give me a general idea about the different servos as a response here.

Thanks

Digital servos center better, usually have more torque, and hold their position better as their position is being updated more often than analog. This comes at the expense of consuming more power and (generally) being more expensive.

3d planes, helicopters and the like that benefit from fast and precise controls are better with digital servos, trainers and sport flying would see little or no benefit.

As for the numbers, they are manufacturer specific.

Are you buying a plane and want to know what servos to get? If so what plane?

Thanks for the replies. I actually need to replace the servo in my son's truck.

I will check out Alan's site. I think I have been there before for information on other RC items. Excellent site!!!
