I read somewhere on here that there is a better set of aftermarket trim tabs for the SV27 that are adjustable with out having to remove the tabs from the hull. Where can you get them? Not that it really matters but do they mount in the same locations with the same screw holes? If i can find them i'd like to order a set.

Or you can make your own. I made these in about an hour with stuff I had around the house. I have since trimmed the adjusting screw and painted the bracket. Looks good, works great and didn't cost a thing.

Are you using the origional SS tabs?? I see exactly how you made the adjustment bracket, but those SS tabs are hard to bend.

Yep I used the origional SS tabs. Just take them off and bend them so they sit slightly above the hull. Use the adjusting screw to push them back down to what ever setting you want. They are stiff but thats ok, the screw bends them fine.

Those are pretty nice Granted! I would probably opt to replace them with thinner material but those look as nice and the OSE's nice job.

I was looking at that site and noticed the SV27 Latch upgrade and wondered if anybody knew what it is that is in the cowl channel on the SV27 that is shown in the example. Looks almost like some type of foam, i have been thinking about doing something like that to make a water tight seal so as to not have to use so much tape.

It looks like some sort of cut weather strip. You can make a good seal yourself.
First, Fill the channel in the boat with silicone.
Second, Wrap the edge of the lid with saran wrap or some kind of thin cling wrap and coat with light oil, wd40, 3m.
Third, Lay the lid in the silicone where you want it and let sit overnight.
Forth, Remove cling wrap after silicone is dry.
This will make a perfect water seal. I dont know if it will work with the stock latch, but with the bolt on unit your good to go. Tape is always a good idea though.
