So, I'm finally getting back into the hobby, been out of it for a while spending time with the kids, but they are getting older and I am able to get myself back in to it..I run a Dumas Big Swamp Buggy with an O.S. .46 FX (I know, they don't exist anymore, but hey it still runs and screams!!!)

The point of this topic though is that when I stopped building a few years ago, I was in the middle of building the Dumas Windy and I have the retro kit to turn it into the Wiggy (Wing in Ground Effect) and I was wondering if anyone else here has done this? If so, any tips, tricks or Pics? The instructions for both the boat and the retro kit are HORRIBLE!!!!

Any words of advice will be much appreciated!! Thanks.

BTW, if you don't know what I'm talking about, here is a pic of a finished one.

I have built and continue to play with a Windy, this is the first time I have heard about the "Wiggy thingy". The instructions for the Windy are horrible, read the instructions and stare at the plans and continue so until they make sense, drink lots of coffee to stay awake.

That is cool !- I have seen other RC wig's and from what I've read- they are very touchy on the balance point.
That looks super cool how you can remove the windy and go either way.

Actually, I'm not sure you can remove the wing...there are parts that I believe get epoxyed directly to the transom(supports for the two center vertical stabilizers)..I wouldn't really want to remove the wing anyway because I am going to be putting an OS .25 on it and the windy alone only calls for a .15 size engine. So, it will likely just flip on me without the wing....
