well i had a gift card to walmart and bought a crappy boat and had some parts laying around so i ribed out the insides and tried to make a boat well it all went great except for the fact that when it got going i t went really fast and turned one way. it also wanted to spin around instead of have the prop spin. so whats da problem. oh the moter is a 55o with a 7.2 volt 6 cell bat.

could i get this working or should i buy a real hoby grade boat, oh the prop is about 1/2 inch

Wow man sorry to hear you invested money into something like that.

I would just go ahead and buy a "real" rc boat. Look into the r2hobbies.com Prince boat. I got mine and I like the looks so far. Sounds like a decent boat for $115...

well the money was worth it because i had fun with it exceprt for the issues had great power it hopped out of the water

well how hard is it to puild a boat cause my favorite thing about the boating hobby is that you can build the things urself. so couldnt i go ahed and make like a deep v hull out of foam and fiberglass it

Well you could. But by the time your done doing all the work and add the materials up you could buy one of the Asian 25" Monos for less... Not including labor.

Plus you would need to know what your doing designing a boat to get anything worth while. Im taking a guess here, but if your gutting out a wal mart plastic boat Im going to guess you wouldnt know what works doesnt- if you did, you wouldnt of bothered.

yea you are better of buying. there is alot of small things with hulls if you dont get right u will have nothig but problams. but that doesnt meen u cant build a boat up from what parts you want e.g hull, motor, rudder strut,flex-wire drive ,speedie . but before u go out and buy a heap of parts ask questions so u know you are on the right track
