Well, this is my first SURFACE item on my review spot light. So bear with me! btw, I posted this here, since I didn't know a spot that was dedicated for batteries and chargers.

I'll be reviewing the:
TENergy 7.2V 4200mAh NiMH High Power Batteries with a 40A Drain Rate and with stock Tamiya connectors; these are distributed by: http://www.ritehobby.com/

I'll be using these batteries on my:
Traxxas E-Maxx 14.4V Equipped with a EVX ESC (First, Original EMaxx)
DuraTrax Evader EXT Equipped with a XL-5 ESC

They can be found here:
http://www.ritehobby.com/4200mAh-7-2V-6S-Flat-NiMH-Battery-w-Tamiya-Connector

Packaging:
These are packaged in a priority flat rate mailing envelope, they are quite heavy, but nothing big... Shipping price is totally reasonable... The actual package when you open it up, will be a receipt, a cardboard box inside bubble wrap (It's kind of a bubblewrap bag), and your batteries will be awaiting your charger inside the cardboard box... These are greatly packaged, absolutely NO damage whatsoever.. Thumbs Up!

Comparism To Venom 3000mAh NiCD
I don't have any NiMH's other than these to test against, so I will try to compare them with some NiCD's.. These are Venom 3000mAh NiCD batteries... There is no real weight difference as I can tell, since I don't have a good digital scale. These definitely give the more "punch"... I made a ;ott;e scratch on my leg, because I accidently hit a little throttle.

Same thing with my DuraTrax, except, I was outside, and I hit my stucco wall next to my wall... These batteries truly are a beast.. I used to use the 3000s, and thought my Evader was fast, boy, was I wrong!

Comparism To Dynamite 1500mAh NiCD
These are definitely higher mAh, more than twice the mAh... No comments needed, besides, this thing will blow your mind if your 1500s blow your mind.

Installation on Both Cars (Evader; EMaxx)
If you have never, ever installed a battery in your car, you just lift the bar, and slide in... Real easy. I do not absolutely love the way how the wires that connect to the batteries are right next to each other, and you can protect the bending of the wires with electrical tape underneath the shrinkwrap (the pole you put the bar on, kind of bends it, which I'm not a fan of... (But then again, I've yet to see a manufacter that has a fix for this) Other than this, easy, straightforward.

Drawbacks
Now, I used ritehobbys charger that they recommend which is their: Smart Universal Charger for NiMH / NiCd Battery pack 7.2V - 12V with charging current Selection; which can be found here:
http://www.ritehobby.com/s.nl/it.A/id.714/.f?sc=2&category=84

Anyway, it has does take quite a bit of time (About 2-3hours) which isn't awesome... But for $30, it's great... If you were to invest in another charger, try looking for a Pirhana, or something of greater, selectable (more advanced selection) than this one... Other than that, it's fine.

ALSO

Another thing I do not like about this is that the wire is grouped, so it's insides can be exposed easily (the wire), simply by bending it sharply.. (But then again, I've yet to see a manufacter that has a fix for this) Just slap on some eletrical tape, and it should be fine, sometimes, you will need to replace the tape, so it's not loose...If two of the wires are exposed, and touch, you have one HOT firestick.

Bottom Line
These are great, for any car, just be sure the high mAh doesn't damage anything... Overall, this is great for it's price...

EDIT
Sorry for the wrong info, mAh does NOT have anything to do with damage. Silly me! :

Recommended?
Yes, I highly recommend this over probably any battery (as I have not had too many batteries, yet).... for it's category (4200s).

Edit
Also, a couple of complaints have been received in the past, of TENergy, misinforming packs...I'm not saying this is my opinion, this is based on other reviews.

Thanks,
rawfuls

P.S. Please tell me if you would like me to add another category, which is marked by bold and underline... Please let me know if any of my information is wrong. Please, and thanks.. Again, happy driving and flying!
