Status: offline 		This is my second review so far, on SURFACE items for a car/truck. I posted here, since I didn't know any dedicated forum for this.

I'll be reviewing the: Smart Universal Charger for NiMH a NiCD Batteries with 2 Charging Selections and with stock Tamiya connectors; these are distributed by: http://www.ritehobby.com/

I'll be using these batteries on my:
Traxxas E-Maxx 14.4V Equipped with a EVX ESC (First, Original EMaxx)
DuraTrax Evader EXT Equipped with a XL-5 ESC

Packaging
These are packaged in a priority flat rate mailing envelope. Shipping price is totally reasonable... The actual package when you open it up, will be a receipt, a cardboard box and your charger will be awaiting your batteries inside the cardboard box...Also inside your box are two extra fuses, incase you blow out the first one. It comes with a airsoft male to a standard female tamiya. It also comes with a 12V battery adapter, incase you want to charge a 12V battery. These are greatly packaged, absolutely NO damage whatsoever..

Comparism to a Cheap 600mA Charger
Wow, HUGE difference, no joke.
I don't have any other good charger to compare to

Features Included as Stock
The stock featurest that this charger includes, are:

  • It can charge NiCD's AND NiMH's.
  • It comes with an extra Tamiya to Airsoft Connector
  • It comes with an extra 12V charger (to charge a 12V I guess)
  • It comes with 2 extra Fuses
  • Fuse Mod (In case a battery blows the fuse, just change out the fuse)
  • Temperature Sensor



The Fuse mod is simply a fuse that protects the charger.. Instead of blowing up the battery and/or charger, it blows the fuse. It also comes with two extra fuses, incase you don't learn once

The temperature sensor, does NOT work unless you tape the whole heatshrink, and the little black bubble on top, to the middle of the battery. I thought if I put it under, it would work, nope, I was wrong. Now, my packs are really cool!(cold lol)

Drawbacks
For the price, you can't complain.
I would love:
An advanced selectable charging selection...
Faster Charge Rate
Dual, or more charging connectors (To charge more than one battery at a time)
But for the price, these adding to a charger, will raise the price ridiculously.

Bottom Line
This is a GREAT Universal Smart Charger for the price....Amazing charger for noobs, more like me, and etc.

You betcha! This is a GREAT charger for it's price, and no joke it's made of great quality.
