Got a question though, the boat is 24" long by 12" at the widest point. It weighs 1.5lbs. I want to go brushless, i am looking at a brushless outrunner system that is cap.able of 140oz of thust, do you think that is enough.

That seems like to much for that size boat. What size prop does that system go with?

Im looking at it this way. That system requires a large prop, probably no less then 10 to 11" to produce that amount of thrust. He's going to have to place his motor high which will affect his turning. Now I could be wrong but the electric motors I have that spin 9 and 10 inch props dont produce that much thrust and one of them is a 1700/kv motor. So based on that Im guessing its going to be a larger prop which might be as wide or wider then his deck.
