I am putting together a 29% Extra with the DX7. Before on my other planes I have used a "Y" for the ailerons and a reversing "Y" on the elevators but this time I decided to use the radio instead of the "Y"s. I got the elevators to work together by mixing ELE and AUX 2. But I am wondering how to get the ailerons to work. In the mixing menu you cant use AUX 1. So what do you plug the other aileron into? There is the gear and flap spot on the rx still open but I didnt know if it would work to plug your ailerons into it.

Also my RX light blinks after it is already bound. Everything works right it just blinks what does this mean?

Let me know

Thanks

Use the Flaperon wing type to mix the Aileron servos on Ch2 and Ch6.

G'day Mate,
With the DX7 go to input select, in system mode, page 29 in you manual. Set wing type to "flapperon"
go to AUX2 : INH
AUX2 trim : INH
Flap :INH
Flap trim : INH.

Then go to mix 5 or 6 in Function mode, page 42 of your manual. you must use only mix 5 or 6, so that the trims will work.
set as, ELEV - AUX2: ON
Rate +100%
+100%
S/W : ON
offset : 0.

Plug your right aileron into "AIL" channel in RX, your left aileron goes in "AUX1".
Plug your right elevator into "ELEV" channel in RX, your left elevator goes in "AUX2".
And elevators & ailerons will work a treat.

Your reciever blinks if you turn it off without cycling the power on your transmitter.

Turn on your transmitter, turn on the reciever and the lights should be solid.

If you turn off the reciever and turn it back on the lights will flash indicating that you had a power failure. You did, but you did it with the switch What happens is when the receiver powers up it checks the last two frequencies it used and if it finds the transmitters GUID and the channels active, it assumes the power dropped off and flashes the warning and does a fast connect.

If you turn off the transmitter it will drop those two channels and the whole system will take a few seconds to synch up and the lights will come on solid. If you take off with solid lights, and land with flashing lights THEN you have a problem.

This is one of the best collections of DX7 information I've found. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and you'll find instructions that cover what you're trying to do.
