I know that they are out there in limited numbers, but just the same, would appreciate hearing owner comments from those out there who have them in use at this time.

Hate to be pessimistic, but all this question will do is start another brand war.

While there isn't much info here on RCU, if you'll head over to FG you'll see a number of threads on the 12X and note what I'm talking about. You'll also see a number of experience reports and questions about programming.

I'm very pleased with my 12X and have only begun to scratch the surface of what it is capable of doing. Basically tho, by the time you get to radios in this price range guys have pretty much committed to one brand or another. So I'd say if you're a JR guy, you'll love it.

Now it will be interesting to see how many of the orange shirt guys show up to tell you what a mistake it would be to buy one...

Thanks for dousing my hopes with your dire prediction. No , my intent was not to create juvenile pissing matches here , but rather to gain useful feedback on a new radio prior to purchasing it. Isn't that why we come to these forums??

I've purposely waited for weeks ; considering the first batch was released just weeks ago.

Well then you'll just need to head over to FG....

Several threads on the 12X have been started here an you may want to do a quick search, but there's not a lot of information or participation in those threads.

I've been following both forums every since I backorderd my 12X in early March. There has not been much interest/discussion on the 12X here at RCU for what reason I don't know, other than possibly the fact that a lot of GS guys who used to post here and would be most likely to buy a $1500 radio, no longer seem to post here very much.

You'll see comments from me as well as other users including Troy Newman who is a Team JR guy flying pattern stuff (and doing quite well by the way) who has experimented with all sorts of programming options and questions from other new owners.

You're option as I've indicated where you might find the information you seek. As for buying one, while some are out there for sale, they're still tight and you may have difficulty coming up with one in a short time frame.

I just purchased a 12X. I like it. I'll keep it. And it will be many years before I can afford to buy another one. I haven't put it into an aircraft yet. I hope it will have enough superior flight performance over a 9303 that I can detect it. Programing the 12X is more fun than the 9303. I'm willing to bet that most people that purchase a 12X bought one because they wanted it, not because they needed it.

Have flown my 12X for about 2 weeks now and now at the NATS. It has worked flawlessly so far. The gimbals are a little smoother than in my 10X and you can tighten up the springs more than the 10X. So far 2 thumbs up but you are right, more of a want than a need as my 10X with the Spektrum module set up worked flawlessly as well.

What extra functions does the 12X have that can't be done on the 9303? I am considering this transmitter, but my 9303 is still perfectly good.
