Remove the cylinder liner, which slides straight up. Then the connecting rod can be removed from the crankshaft. The piston/rod assembly will then slide straight up, out of the crankcase.

thks for your quick reply. I've tried removing the sleeve it won't slide out, and there's no where for me to leverage on to pull or push out?

Make sure you have removed all rubber O-rings and seals and "bake" your engine block in a small toaster oven at 300-325 Degrees F for about 8 to 10 min...
The sleeve should slide right out of the block when you carefully, with out burning yourself, turn the engine block upside down. Make sure you handle the very hot engine with a thick pot holder, or something else to protect your hands.
I always use this system to remove and re-install ball bearings of both two and four stroke engines and it works great....

Hope this helps.

I wear leather gardening gloves (after heating the case ) and push the sleeve up and out with the handle of an old tooth brush or piece of dowel.

As others have said, you have to heat up the case usually before you can remove the cylinder liner. If you have a heat gun for shrinking iron on covering, that will also work very well.
