i thought i said nimh after the 6s part, its a 6s nimh battery, i would be running a 3s lipo in the prince, its $42 without shipping to canada and $50 with out shipping to canada, a rtr supervee 27 is something like $275 right? i called my lhs and they said that the supervee 27 that they have is $375

edit: taken from my post

"I priced out a proboat apache on 6s 4200mah nimh+19spec motor+prop+charger"

"brushless outrunner prince on a 3s 4200mah lipo"

the supervee 27 is $280. It still needs batteries and a charger, so it'll be just as expensive in the long run.

Also, the supervee is very unstable and prone to flipping.

The prince mono it VERY stable, and handles chop very nicely.
Same with the apache. It just doesn't go nearly as fast as the other two out of the box.

Also,don't forget about these:

See if your parents would buy you one of those, and you can get the batteries and charger yourself.

ok thanks... what about the villian ex? i just dont care for the dual motors=dual everything so i if i want to upgrade its double everything... i might have to get something from my lhs since summer holidays is done in a month and i dont want to wait for parts, im pretty sure it was the blackjack 26 they had there... i will hope they buy me that then i will buy the battery(s), and charger, about how fast will a stock blackjack run on 2 3s lipo's?

with the blackjack you'll want to use 4s lipo. Just like with the supervee and other dual battery boats.

The stock blackjack on 4s runs like this:

with a sharpened and balanced copper beryllium prop you could add another 5-10mph.

if you want, then you could run them in parallel for SUPER long runtimes.

Most people would just use 2 2s packs in series to get 4s.

But you do need 2 packs to balance the hull.

how many "mah" do my 2s have to be if i run them together? i have 2 2s 7.2v 900mah... i would get pretty short runtime with those im guessing. if i wanted to do 2 4s could i just run them like i would run the 2 2s?

that would be 8s if you run them in series.
4s2p is you run them in parallel.

If you ran 8s through the boat, all you's have left is a light for a cigarette.

If you ran those puny packs through it, well. It wouldn't run. The packs wouldn't be able to handle the amp draw.

Try these:
http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=6656&Product_Name=ZIPPY-K_4300mAh_2S1P_20-30C
(replace the ***'s with hobby city dot com once it's in your browser's window)

I know they look like crap, but they are some of the best packs you can buy.
They can take a 90-130 Amp discharge without going up in smoke.
They won't break a sweat in the BJ26.

If your tiny packs were 15c, they could take a 13.5 amp discharge rate before blowing up. That will barely spin the prop.
