I seem to be missing the manual for my BGX-1. Can someone tell me what the break-in procedure is? Also what is the initial needle setting? With my other OS engines I ran them at full throttle as rich as possible and then gradually starting leaning it out for short periods. Is the BGX the same?

Thanks for any information.

The BGX needs many gallons of run time to fully wear in. Be careful to set the needle just clean of fourcycling, any leaner is too far with this engine.

i bought one from someone who took the baffle out of the muffler, ran 20% nitro, trying to get the thing to rev in the high 8000's , nearly f#@#ed it up .This engine will not rev much above
7500 with the stock muffler and that should be plenty with the right prop . IF you run it to lean you'll get scoring on the piston in the muffler area, also i dont think one gallon is enough to
break it in , it'll take2 or 3. its too expensive to ruin
