Has anyone picked up and used the new Slimline Excel Fueler long enough to make any comments
or conclusions? Worth the price?

I purchased one but don't have it installed yet. It looks like is should work fine. You can buy replacement O rings and such too. I bought the package that included 2 receptacles and one fuel nozzle. It was 11.99 US and should outfit 2 planes. To me if it works will be a savings over the 12-13 dollar quick fueler valve I normally use. I will try and post results soon.

So far I have only installed it in the cowl of my Lancair. It looks real nice but have not had time run fuel through it. Hope to soon. I set the tank up with three tubes. The 3rd on is for filling and runs to the F1 fueler.

I have an Excel fueler in my GS World Models P-51D. It is a little pricey at 18.99. However, by design, you can never have a failure of an internal check valve--since there is no valve. I flew with it for the first time today and thought it was great. You only need a 2 line tank setup and the filler valve that stays with your fuel can takes care of blocking off the port to the carb. There's a really good chance that I may buy a couple more to outfit older planes that have either the Dubro Quick fill valve or a fuel dot.
I can include a picture of the install if you like. Let me know.

And here it is as you would fuel it. Insert fueler into hole until it bottoms out. Both o-rings seal off the outlet portion of the valve to the carb, that way fuel only goes into the tank. Remove fueler and screw in the aluminum plug and you're ready to go. The o-ring on the plug seals the valve and keeps enough tension on the plug so that it does not come out. The plug only screws in finger tight.
