Well, just got my Kyosho HOR in the mail, today. Was SO excited, until I saw three baggies, with parts spread around the box. (It was used, and seller took a pic, and told me that he sent it wrapped up, in baggies, zipped, etc etc.)
USPS shipped it, so at least there's a couple holes, and not a missing package right?

Anywho, so I got excited still, and too kit out back.
Immediately I tried the steering, and it was loose. I was puzzled.
I was like, whatever.
And just drove it. Then, I noticed, that when I steered left, the man steered left, cool! But what about the wheel?
I have some pictures, showing the upper part of the front wheel. Is this normal?

EDIT: Apparently it is, watched a few videos... But, how does it steer then?

What do you mean by "But what about the wheel?"

The front wheel is so loose, it's weird almost.
I took it out, and it doesn't turn sharp. I crashed into so many curbs because it doesn't turn sharply. Need full steering to turn at about a slight angle.

The front end of the bike is free to swing from side to side. When you turn left and right it causes the bike to lean over, which in turn should cause the front end to swing in the needed direction to make the bike make a turn... It will take some time to get used to the way the bike turns and how to manipulate the throttle and steering angle to get it to turn more or less sharply...
I suggest going to an open parking lot where you have a good bit of room to play in to get a good feel for how it handles...
The HOR should turn a bit better than the Mark 1 bike like I have with the static rider. It defiantly looks cooler at least!

Yeah, I'm getting used to it, but the seller told me it has adjustable rate steering, again, I'm new to bikes, so, care to explain if this is true? Thanks. btw, it uses a metal gear hitec servo, a 800kv mamba max bl system.

I'm thinking the seller had it on light turning, I like to turn it completely sharp, when at full steering, if it's possible.
btw, anyone have tips to circle up when you fall down? I'm thinking about just making a bit more crash bar, so it's longer, so I can get up easier.

If it were to turn to sharply then the bike would just fall over.

adjustable rate steering is probably a function on the transmitter, also known as dual rate...
what radio do you have? do you have the manual for it?

if you want totdo high speed runs then you crank the daul rate counter clockwise so that the servo does not move much side to side. If you are running it slow and in tight areas like a track or your driveway then you'll want to turn the d/r all the way clockwise this way your servo has as much room to turn the body and front forks to make a shrper turn.
It took about a day at a big parking lot to get this down. Coming out of turns is also a very differant way for the bike to get used to. You let off about half way thru the turn then give it one tap to the opposite direction to finish the turn. It becaomes a no brainer once you have done it enought times. I had these same questions but came here to the froums to ask my questions.
I wish I still had mine. I traded it for a TTe 1/5 Ducati. Now I have to wait for the venom so I can have something to drive at home in my driveway again. I looked at some of the videos I did in the 1st month vs the last time I ran the bike before my trade. It takes practice and above all patience. Don't throw it down the front yard
