with the heli nose to your right and the heli tail to your left; the tail rotor should spin counter clockwise. Also, make sure the direction on your GY401 is set properly, you can check that by holding the tail and move it towards you; the tail pulley should move away from you. If you move the tail away from you; the tail pulley should move towards you. Attached is the link to bob white 401 gyro setup. It was very helpful when I built my TREX, also, it is always good to change your tail servo to a digital fast response one, I didn't do it to save couple of $$, but I endup in a bad crash.
