Playing with the idea of buying one. LHS support is totally superior than any other brand here and they do handle well on the local track. I know it's not an 8ight, 808, Mugen or Caster....but then again....no LHS out here supports those brands.

I already have a Kyosho MP7.5 Kanai II and a Hyper 8.5 but spares and support...well...I'll bite my tongue on that issue.

I'd like to make an educated, well informed decision on this one please.

As always, thanks for your thoughts and ideas.

These cars have been around for a few years now. That is a good and bad thing though. They have been around for a while now and the fte gets updated every year with better option parts. That means that all the kinks have been ironed out and the cars are super reliable. They are still very competetive and can hold their own in top level competition.

That's what i was thinking. And again....a mitigating factor....very good LHS support. It's not a cheap buggy either and it doesn't come without a price though. I'll have to sell one of my other cars, probably the Kyosho MP7.5 to afford this one. The ONLY reason for that is the amount of times I've been let down by the shop that carries Kyosho spares and have had to get them from Amain. Being over here and not being able to afford overnight shipping (which can cost a whole lot more than what I'm actually buying), I have to wait upwards of 3 to 4 weeks for parts. I've preached it so many times in this forum before...I think it's time i walk the talk and "Get What Your LHS Supports!!!". And like a mate of mine here says, "Suppor your LHS!"

Thanks for your thoughts chookman.

Good buggy which is still competitive, dont be put off because its a few years old. Mine competes with the Losi 8ights and TTR S3 Pros etc. Its a shame im not very consistant driver with the Buggey!

I was going to sell mine, but i looked at and though, well its a great Buggy so why sell it and buy something the same with just a different name on it? The only time mines going is when the MBX6 comes out.

Definately a good buggy and very competitive.
Guys are still running them after 2/3 years and most will tell you the best upgrade is just to get the big bore shocks.
Sturdy and robust drive train and OFNA has good support.

its a good buggy like they said but for the price you could get something newer like a rc8 but watch out its a very brittle car unlike the jammin or the losi

Thank you John195, I'd love to own a RC8, but again....check out my location under my name, etc.....LOCAL LHS SUPPORTED BUGGY....I harp on about it all the time in the forums, so i think it's now my turn to listen. RC8 ain't supported here, nor can i go anywhere in the UAE and buy a brand new RC8 in a shop. Hence the Jammin option.

Jammin, Ofna ( Hyper Series ), Losi, Kyosho, and Xray ( Not sure if it still is ) ...

Jammin, Ofna and Losi have the parts support that's needed, With the Kyosho and Xray, no such luck.

Well the Jammin/OFNA range is essentially Hong Nor and Haboa products and they are really good quality.
Have to aggree though if you buying a X1CR and its the older spec then the price should be lower as there are a few updated/upgraded models after the X1CR's initial release.
At least check if it comes with the big bore shocks.

Have you checked if Caster is available as they have a dealer in UAE

i have a jammin fte buggya nd i love it. i justt put a new jammin jpx engine in it and it rips! almsot all my tires came unglued trying to go down the back strait. this buggyhandles great imo. you can pretty much get any part anywhere for it. and upgrade it whenever u want. i think they are just as competative as the losi's or mugens. a guy came in 2nd place with his jammin buggy at our local track, out of 42 racers. dont be fooled because its a few years older....im glad i bought mine. the jammin has proven itself to be a winner.

heres some pics of my jammin

Thanks guys...think i've made up my mind. Qais, thanks bro, but i'd rather support my "local" lhs than have to run to Sharjah every time something happens, if you know what i mean. I've been to Speed 'cause they're also the sole agent for XTM here. It wasn't a fun excursion LOL, both times. I hardly know how to get around Deira now-a-days....forget Sharjah .

Again, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and experience.
