hi robert,

yes, my turbo cap is still alive.
in the meantime we tested different props, made from carbon fibre and/or wood. in addition to this a few turbine internal updates arrived. all in all the increase of power output is minor, particular because in reving up the prop to higher rpms, the pitch prop mechanism comes to its limits. centrifugal forces are exploding as well as much more power of the pitch servo is demanded.

i am waiting till anyone outthere will try to use a fully variable pitch prop on his turbo plane. hey, sandor, would you be so kind to go this way? i am standing alone, there are some minor problems to be sorted out, and believe me, the full adjustable pitch prop offers a large range of possibilities, either for short "on the spot" landings or impressive aerobatics.

when i get a call from PJW, that there are good news i.g. more revs, more power, i will try again torque rolling the plane, my last goal for this plane.

in the meantime i practice TR with my Rhapsody, Funtana or Shochflyer

price for the pitch prop: please send an email to pj-w@aon.at

there are two things to mention:
# have you thought of the fact, that the pitch prop will need a completely different ECU (cause of the accurate rev alterations)?
# the revs that you are going on your unit will probably make explode the pitch prop unit. so you will be something like a pioneer or developer!

your pilatus project is impressive, wow!

our unit uses 2 ecu,s one is for engine one is for powerturbine rpm,s
i have got a perfectly working rev control i can set it up to run from 1000 rpm,s to 12000 rpm,s
so if i would set the unit to 8000 rpm,s i would be ok in all cases

Hi i would like to know how much are you charging for this unit? (pitch prop)
I have got a wren engine it has a shaft of 6mm so it can fit now any prop
The max torque is about at 6500-7000 rpm on the shaft
It is for a pilatus pc-6 spinner would be 90-95mm
Props I use vary from 22x10 up to 26x10
The best performance I have at 22x12 mentz prop 8000 rpm,s

Best Regards,

Sandor Kruise

Hello,

sorry our prop-unit is only with an PJ-W-R or Limited Edition Turbine obtainable.
Because it is made for this engine.

pfff i give allready up for this pitch prop unit
i think our germans are better then your germans (quote:the right stuff)

i flew the pilatus yesterday take off weight was 21 kilo,s (about 3 liters of fuel included) so i guess we where a little
wrong on the weight
it needed about 10 meters (33feet) and went airborne without flaps
extremely fast acceleration
landing was impressive , about 10% flaps it was a little fast but we landed within 90 meters
i guess we do it reversed since the original needs less space to land then actualy taking off
this was just the first flight , so we need to get used to the plane and next time keep the rpm,s up and pull
more flaps
we just wanted to be safe since we want to fly this pilatus at lots of event,s this year in germany , belgium , and the netherlands
anyway we will fly it again soon and i will make a video

congrats to your maiden flight.

pitch prop: the unit we use will not withstand 8000rpms. the centrifugal forces will destroy the mechanism, bearings, junction between blade and bladeholders. the risk of injuries should not be neglected.

seems that there will be a "do it yourself prop unit" way only for you. see my photos and drawings in my previous posts.
how about that?
to do this is no miracle. all it needs is a simple mill and lathe, thats all.
