don't let the engine heat up over 275*, or you won't get it started after it stalls

I love my 8T just as much. So easy to tune..Temp never goes above 250 after a race. I don't think i have touched my dials since break-in! Nor have I changed my glow plug!

Agreed! I am a new racer (2 months into racing) with my 8ight-T and I already won my summer points series back home! That was with a 100% stock setup!

Just bought an 8T RTR a couple weeks ago. Have had some issues with it, but have enjoyed it quite a bit. Burned out a throttle servo on the second tank of gas, and after some nasty wrecks at the local track, broke the front inner king pin brace (replaced with King Headz piece). Haven't messed with R/C cars for years, and had almost forgot how much fun they are. Pricey....(not as bad as my other hobby), but alot of fun nonetheless.

Hey, jay..."L"...sorry just had to do that....I run both the ZX28 and the VZB21 and I love both. great power, good run times and easy tuning and to get rid of the short lived thing that everyone says about the O.S. motor I've been running mine for over a year. just like any engine you just have to take good care and not let up on your care. But to the OS is personal prefrence there are other engine out there that will perform just as well and some can be picked up a little cheaper then the O.S.'s. But if you do go O.S. you can get the VZB21 and set the clutches right you'll get pretty good fuel times....and if you go ZX28 WOW what power fuel run times aren't to great But if you got a good pit guy I love the power....IMO....

.28's in 8ight T's are Overkill.....how bad do your center bones wear after a couple meets with that Power **** in there tho....mine would'nt last more then a couple races before being in Need of replacement with that exact mill + some.

So true about the over kill. but its alot of fun once you figure out the cultchs and how it wants to drive. there have been some races I would get so far out front that the extra pit stop wouldn't matter to much....mine you the 28 is not for everyone but if you take the time and have fun with it and figure what your truggy going to do, its a lot of fun!! Oh and to answer your question I change the CV pins every two satrday..meaning I will only run the CV in the truck four races...its not as bad as it sounds.

any .28 that ive ran in my 8ight has been a waste....the "extra time" u think your getting is all wheel spin and bustin up the center bones....imo its not needed...on ANY track.
