I have an X-Cell 60 CT with a 10mm main shaft. Does anyone know if the split ring collar that is used on the Extreme, part number 0875 will fit my heli? I never did like the small set screw style and today put one in because the lower collar slipped. Not to much damage so I got off lucky even though it went in inverted. Is it just me or does this kinda thing always happen and the worst possible time. Anyways thanks for the help.

the split rings will work with virtually every xcell ever made, including your model.

The part number is for one collar, so you'll need two.

The collars are just slightly larger than the old set screw collar, so with the models that have the swingarm between the frames, pay careful attention to the elevator see-saw (especially the plastic one) at pitch extremes. It can hit the split collars and bind the linkages.

Hi,

What does the split ring collar do for you? I've never had a problem with the standard set screw collars.

What are the advantages/disadvantages of the 'split ring' style?

Unless you're very careful with installing the set screw collars, you'll make indentations in the main shaft. When you try to remove the shaft, these indentations usually won't get past the bearings without either removing the bearings, filing off the indentations or just driving the shaft out, which will probably damage the bearings.

The split rings can be easily tightened up or loosened up and don't make any indentations.
