I am on the fence trying to talk myself into that 12 hour drive. Leaning twards going had a blast with you guys in L.A. I am sure this will be a hoot as well. Also I am looking forward to meeting Mark Taylor He seems, like a pretty cool guy and has helped me with some radio issues already. These are the kind of people I need to meet.

Hi Ron,

12 hours is a long drive, I can appreciate that (I go to Az maybe 2 times a year for flying). In many ways Fresno is the best event I go to. I think maybe it is nostalgia, I have been going to it for years now (since I got my waiver, maybe 10 years?) I have gotten in MANY great flights and made some fond memories in Fresno.

It is a well designed field; wide open flying and excellent vis all the way to sunset. The afternoon flying is a lot of fun. Very big sky too, no restrictions. The pits are expansive and shaded, and the CDs are pros. The overall vibe is excellent.

Although I think will will RV this time, the local accommodations are good and I heard the local Chilli's (while displaying complete recklessness) is willing to let last year's crew back in (basically imagine pirates getting together to discuss the day's plundering, that was last year's dinner).

See you there.

Ah Matt, some of my earliest jet memories are of your yellow/blue/white bandit and the hotspots burnin' laps at Fresno!

Good times, great location.

Yeah and Fresno 2005 was the first time Tam got deep into my wallet for the #1 Blue Angel Hornet (which is still flying, by the way ) but I had to turn him upside down, literally, at the dinner table at Chilli's, to keep him from selling it out from under me!

EVERYTHING FOR SALE, BABY!

That's OK - tell her you are taking her to Chilli's for her b-day. Just don't tell her WHICH Chillis.
