chacy, I haven't taken the back off my transmitter to compare to your Horizon repaired transmitter. But I am curious that even if the the original wire bundle, even if removed from the gimbal hole, would route up, around and down to the circuit board to which it is attached. I think this new wire bundle may be longer than the the original one. Has anyone else looked at this?

I'm not sure, but that is a good point. The wire bundle may be longer now and that may not be possible with earlier models. Oh well, I see nothing wrong with the fix ultimate1 came up with for the original setup.

Didn't want to lose my place so I thought I'd post this now: I just got x9303 and was aware of this issue. Per the pics in the above link, my wires were "wound around" the post as in Horizon's solution.

BUT

Having the wires wrapped like that, it caused severe restricted elevator when moving the stick for up elevator. So their fix is not necessarily going to work and the original idea posted by Howard (moving the curly-Q retaining wire out and loosening some of the wire (there is plenty) appears still to be the best solution. Airbusdrvr I see has already alluded to the "up elevator binding" that I discovered later.
