Hi all... I'm setting here and thinking about all this stuff being said about how bad the XPS system is. Xjet has managed to plaster his thoughts on more than one RC forum. So I'm sure that many many people have read some or all of this issue.
Well I'm thinking and it just came back to me that last months issue of Model Aviation mag had a write up on one of the XPS systems. Nothing bad said in the write up about XPS.
Now my question or thought is? If Xjet's tests and forum posts have been read by so many people why does a magazine that the AMA sends to all its members allow a write up on XPS if it is so bad?
Is it because no one from Model Aviation mag has never read any of this stuff???? I think not. I'm having a hard time trying to figure out why the AMA would allow a write up on a system that is supposed to be so bad. Is not the AMA's insurance company aware of the so called dangers of XPS??? Would the AMA want people to purchase this system if it might be so bad as to cause legal action of some sort that would cost the insurance arm to have to pay out mega bucks????

These are just questions I have. Anyone within the AMA or it's iinsurance carriers is welcome to comment.

Please no back yard amatures need to respond. This is far too important to be addressed by people with no knowledge of the facts.

Just for clarification concerning the article..

quote:

Greg Gimlick... First and foremost - this column was not a review, nor is a column the opinion expressed by the AMA, it is the columnist's opinion and fortunately the AMA is one place that allows us a lot of lattitude in that regard. Others I occasionally write for would not allow such rants in a column.

O.K. Thanks to a PM from Woketman I am now informed that Model Aviation Mag is aware of the so called issues with XPS. Seems that they are going to include in the next issue or two a statement that any information they on the XPS system is from the manufactures own web-site.
I now have my answers to the questions that I had.

Thanks Woketman!!!!
