I ended up finishing the tank commander before my Leopard. I'm debating whether to put the goggles on him as well.

Nice Job!

Alway have trouble getting the eyes right, but the eyes on the figure look great.

googlydoogly,
Very nice, I am impressed!

You camo treatment is very well executed, and your commander's face is even better. You especially did a nice job on the eyes, not at all buggy or wide eyed, and both are convincingly looking in the same direction. You sir should be proud of that figure!

Care to share you figure/face painting technique with the rest of us?

great job on the figure.. Turret crew generally no goggles, would also hide your fascial and eye work.

great looking figure , dont give him googles sometimes less is more, give yourself a big pat on the back , nice facial shading, if i could just add one thing ,from the picture the helmet looks a little flat, maybe a slight highlight ?

Unbelievably well done! HE looks like he is resigned to eat dust watching out that hatch when he would rather be tipping a frothy one. You can actually see the expression in his face- it's almost creepy. Definitely no goggles- those eyes must be clearly visible! Just amazing! You deserve a 5 star rating on that paint job.

WOW!

Thanks guys! I guess I'm not gonna put the goggles on him after all.

Streetsquid, I didn't really have any trick in face painting. The only thing different I did was use use watercolor instead of oils for the wash.

Icemonkey, you're right, the helmet did need a little highlight. Here's the final figure after I cleaned the paint a little, and sprayed it with dull coat.

You know, I made a comment on this earlier saying what an excellent job it is but I'm even more impressed now. I just picked up one of these I put together a couple of weeks back (unpainted still, of course), and dang you have a steady hand. Two thumbs up!
