I guess it's my turn to vent, I'm pretty upset.

My 600 is just about a month old and was set up really well.

Yesterday at the field from a hover I went into a flip and the tail hit the ground. What surprises me is the extent of the damage.

The heli was completely destroyed even after hitting TH and the cost to get it flying again is just about the cost a new kit.

I am devastated to say the least, totally bummed.

I've seen guys slam their helis into the ground and come out with maybe $150 worth of repairs.

This crash even bent the motor shaft!

I guess I just don't know which way to go, forget the whole thing and just fly my nitro or get a new kit.

Total cost to get it in the air would be about $350 not including blades. Even my worst crashes were never this bad......

To rub salt into the wound, it was caught on video. I will post it when my friend converts it.

Dude that sucks. I know what you mean though, I watched a guy at my local field slam his brand new T-Rex 700 into the ground the other day from a nice height, and all that happened was the usual busted blades and a smashed canopy and i think his gear snapped as well. And then last summer I crashed my 500 and it was totalled. Go figure.

sorry for the lost man. I've lost quite a few that way. minor crash that results in repairs totaling the cost of a new kit. What can you do but accept the loses. that's not bad if you can get it back in the air for $350. What about the servos, motor, esc, battery, gyro....did any of the eletronics get damaged as well. thats where all the money is at.. eletronics.

The motor shaft bent so that's the most expensive part of the electronics.

All the other stuff that needs to be replaced adds up. From the frame back to the tail all has to be replaced.

Servo horns snapped, servos stripped....the list goes on an on.

I am going to just let it sit and fly my nitro.

I have no plans to repair it before next year...

Hate to hear this but would like to see the video. I have been considering buying one myself.
