Status: offline 		Like the title says- is there ANYONE in the Northeast PA area that is into either FE or RC boats in general??? I am in Milford (Pike county) and so far, most of the people I have met around here can't even spell "RC", or they think a $1500 boat is the same as the one they bought from Wal-Mart for $39.95 . Man, when I lived in NY, people would see me running a boat, ask where I got it and how much it cost and then show up the next weekend with one as well. Here, they look at you with their one good eye and whistle "Dayum haw mutchs???" through their 3 remaining teeth lol .

I'd like to meet some people to run with around here. If anyone is local, let me know!

Status: offline 		1) I dont know if your are in the NAMDA or IMPDA area but you can try their websites to find a local club and contact their members in your area.

2) You can also use the "member search here at RCU... Click on the members button, then select "CITY", enter "RC BOATING" as area of interest and type in your city for for the "KEYWORD" - that'll bring up people in your area that you can contact (tho some may no longer be active boaters).

Status: offline 		I did a search and there are 3 other people from Milford ,two of which are listed as into boats.There are a lot of people in PA running r/c boats but are scattered out so far it's hard to find a few close enough to form a club or even have a good race. As for your remarks about PA people in your area not being able to spell RC and being one eyed and not having all their teeth .It comes across as you thinking that these people are dumb,ignorant,toothless hillbillies and I believe that your remarks were uncalled for.I myself didn't know about r/c boats except for plastic toy ones,untill I got on the internet a few years ago and and found a hobby I really liked.Not all people are into r/c and some of us don't have our original teeth and might be blind in one eye and can't see out of the other,but people should not be criticized for their lack of knowledge or their appearance.I hope you find someone to run with in your area,that suits you.

Status: offline 		Umm, I was joking- you know pulling the stereotype card... Seriously though, things are much different here than pretty much 99% of the rest of the country . I'm not better than anyone else, nor do I think I am, it was just a joke about the stereotypical Pennsyltuckian.. The fact that you have internet access automatically disqualifies you from that stereotype anyway . You gotta admit, the NEPA area is pretty far behind the times.

I'll have to look up the others in the area, hopefully they're still around. Most people I meet that share our interests are short lived here- they are quick to move back to modern civilization . Seriously though, thanks for the info- I'll look them up.
