I have pretty much decided on the OS 160 for my fusion but have also been looking at the Mark 1.8 & 2.2. I'm sure the 1.8 would be plenty power but the 2.2 actually weighs a little less. Would it make any sense to buy the 1.8? Is the OS a better engine? I don't know anything about the mark engines and would appreciate any input.

I'm running the 2.10 on my 72 inch Cap 232. I hate the bird, but I love that motor. Tons of power, easy to start....unlimited vertical. I think the 80" Fusion, and the Mark 2.`10.........is a match made in heaven!!!!

The OS is by far the BEST engine. You really don't need any more than that on the Fusion. If you really want to power it up put a header and bud bottle pipe on it. The 1.60 runs REALLY well on that setup!

I had a lot of "transition problems" with Moki 1.35(same make I believe). I've seen several Moki 1.8's here and they do have a lot of power but for 3-D you need a clean transition ,specially mid-range and my Moki gave me fits. The "fix" was a OS carb(1.08), the Moki carbs mid range is (was) crap. It had adjustable disk.

I think I'll stay with the OS. Thanks for the input.

I do not have either the 1.60 or the 1.80 but I have been considering these 2 engines for awhile and this is what I came up with by reading other threads and specs. The 1.6 is about 1/2 lb lighter and it appears to have nearly the same power (thrust). In terms of hovering capability I think the 2 are the same, the Moki has a little more power but it consumes it with the extra weight. Due to the extra weight of the MOKI you end up with higher wing loading with little gain in power. So my thinking is go with the 1.60.
