I have an airhogs jetscream and a Mini XPV. I clipped the charge connector off the mini xpv and hooked it up to my Hyperion EOS1210i in hopes of charging without using the transmitter. I set the charger for 1s lipo 100mah. The problem is the charge just gives me an output battery connect error like there is nothing even connected to it. Is there something I am missing? Is it possible to charge these little cheap planes with a real charger?

You have to remove the battery from the plane. Then it would work. The charger circuitry is in the plane. You need to connect directly to the battery, not the plane.

too much work to do to recharge the batteries. I just ended up cutting the end off the Airhogs controller and soldering it to the Mini XPV controller so I can have 1c charge rates as opposed to 3c

Shrimpah, there is a diode(?) on the ah board that keeps the plane from accepting a charge from another charger. What I did was to peel the ace apart and solder a bit of wire and a micro deans to the battery poles, mount the deans in the "windshield" and then use my triton jr. You get an immediate performance boost this way. The stock charger only charges to 3.7v not 4.2v. More power and longer flights. I think there are pics of that rig somewhere.
