Hi,

I'm looking at getting into 1:10th scale on-road touring, I have a track close to where I live (Australia) and can't decide on which car to get.

Money isn't the biggest factor but I don't want to go too mad.

So far the Team Associated TC5 is the first option, mainly because I can get parts over here fairly easily, I've also found some stockiest of the Robotronic Avid so I'm considering that one too.

The thing I'm not sure about with the TC5 is getting a Foam or Rubber based kit, why should I buy a car designed for one type of tyre if I'd prefer to choose tyres based on the track and what others are running, unless ofcourse I'm missing the point in which case would someone please explain for me.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

I'd go with the tc5 especially because you can get parts there easy. The diif in faom and rubber cars is how stiff the chassis is. the foam being stiffer. the foam comes with a 2.5mm woven carbon fiber chassis and top plate, where as the rubber is 2mm

Thanks for the reply,

So, would you commit to one kind of tyre?

Hot Bodies Cyclone Andy Moore World Championship Edition is what I would recommend. I own one and I can attest to its durability and performance.
