Where do I start explaining such an awesome toy ? It was built a little over a year ago. $8000.00 + invested in it. It has under 3 gallons run on it. I have been flying a raptor 30 for a year now. I jumped right into this bird, flew the second day of owning it. (Took a day to read the manual and familiarize myself with the operation). It is incredibly easy to run and fly. FOOL proof computer on-board !
Mechanics: Jetcat HP5 Turbine system, JR PCMS 9channel receiver, Futaba GY-401 Gyro w/ Futaba S9253 servo, XL PRO head assembly and tail rotor. 2 fuel filters, and more....
How does it work?
Fueling up: First, Coleman Powermax fuel gets pumped into white canister mounted on the port side, used for start up purposes only. Next, fuel up fuel cell with Kerosene using standard crank fuel pump with gasoline resistant fuel line. ECU (Electronic control unit) requires battery's to be charged as well as the JR receiver battery.
How does it run?
1. turn on radio 2.turn on Heli 3.advanced throttle trim forward to maximum, this engages computer 4.LED lights on circuit board will give you a "go /no go " for flight, via their blinking sequence 5. advance throttle to full forward postion, this starts the propane flow and ignition 6. after started, computer will switch to Kerosene, stable the idle, and give you control of the bird with a confirmed green light on LED. 7.After that it is a standard Heli. Throttle, pitch, collective etc.....
What does it come with?
Complete Helcopter assembly w/ground support unit, fuel adapters (NO FUEL). $600.00 bifucated dual exhaust, carbon fiber V 3-D blades !
If there are specific questions I can answer them? If it is flight questions and start up procedures, I will go over everything with you front to back after purchase. CALL KEVIN WITH QUESTIONS 818-402-7961

One question, whats the point of having a turbine if the exhaust is looking to the side???????????? Isn't it supposed to give forward thrust?

the turbine turns the rotors with the gears on the front.

The exhaust is to one side to counter rotate the helecopter against the rotors.
So it helps the tail rotor out a bit.

I assume this gives better flight charicteristics than having the exhaust straight out the back.

Can you take some close up pics please DRIVEGUYS id love to see more of such a machine.

Holst - I'm sure that statement about the exhaust is valid. BUT, if you look closely at the pix, it has the exhaust exiting to the other side as well. He also mentions it in the ad.

Chris

Kevin - Nice machine!! Wish I had $4K. Actually, I do but it's in the form of a new roof over my head.

Hi people,

I believe that the exhaust size is big enough relative to the turbine size to provide very little thrust at all. The exhaust greatly affects how much thrust is given.

Hope this helps
