I just put a Venom Fireball 15 turn in a boat and it works great! Ball bearings and built in heat sink for a good price.Should be faster than a 23 turn but maybe less torque.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the superstock is probably about as fast as the 17 turn venom will be. It will for sure outlast it. Venom in general doesn't make very good products, although some say their lipos aren't too bad. A good 17 turn would be something like a orion sv2, or one of the trinity motors. A good 19 turn such as the checkpoint money, orion elements, reedy etc would also outdo it. For the money it's probably ok though, obviously it's not a 40 or 50 dollar motor so won't last like one. I'm sure it will be fun while it lasts. Just be careful of your gearing.

i have the 19t and it's pretty good i probally gotta cut the comm and get new brushes but i've had it for almost 2 years and probally have 75ish packs thru it, (aprox 10 min each) i've cleaned it out a few times but other than that it's a great motor for the $ and should serve you well

I have heard that the windings come loose alot. A couple people on rctech said this. They received an email and the guy said "remember these are cheap motors and they we have to cut back somewhere."

I tried a few of the Fireball motors and they are cheaply made and don`t even compare to another motor of the same turn .

^ Agree too

There nice and cheap on the plus side but wont stack up against a same turn mod motor from a decent company.
Buy them in bulk and throw away after dont even bother rebuilding them it isnt worth the effort

You would be better off going with something like a Trinity Speed gem motor. These are awesome motors for the money.

as long as you gear the vehicle right, itll be fine. i had a 15t fireball, and it was pretty fast for the money. but, a put it in a second vehicle and geared it alittle high. it overheated. i later bought a speed gems 15t motor, used it in the same vehicle with the same gearing and it lasted a long time.
so, im saying the venom motors are less tollarent of heat than higher quality motors, but a decent power.
honestly tho, if you spend 15-20 dollars more now, you will likely get a motor that will last alot longer.

I would reccomend getting a good 19t motor. The best one which will save you the most money in the end is the Checkpoint Money 19t motor. Most 19t motors you have to cut the comm every 10 runs and cahnge the brushes and break them in every 5 runs too, but I get 20-40 runs off a cut and new brushes with my checkpoint money motor. I am comparing this to a Orion Element 19t. Also the Money has more power than the Element.

You can do better than 35 on price, heck you can get a custom racing banzai motor for 34 bucks any turn you want...but the orions sv2's are like 28.99 or something, the trinity speed gems are around 30 etc. The checkpoint money motor is 49 which is fairly high, but tower always sends me coupons where you can get it for 44 bucks, still a bit high to me for a 19 turn, but I know they are good motors as far as longevity goes. You can find even better deals on ebay, or on manufacturer's sites when they do closeouts etc. I got a brand new 11 turn fantom recently for 20 shipped. Plenty of deals out there that have kept me so far from going brushless lol.
