I've had my CX2 for over a year but have just really started flying it a lot recently. I've had to replace one servo, a couple of gears and a bunch of blades on it so far and that's it. What is was wondering is I noticed today that when I apply full throttle, the 4 in 1 green light turns red. This only happens on full or close to full throttle. When I was replacing the servo, I tool all the blades off and disconnected both servos so just the motors were connected to test this and I cannot figure out why this is.

Do all CX2's do this or is my 4 in 1 going bad? Or maybe a bad motor.

Mine gets off the ground and seems to fly OK, I just don't know why the 4 in 1 would turn red. strange.

Status: offline 		mine does the same thing from green to red at half throttle, guy at my local hobby shop who sold me my cx2 said it was normal, its just switching to full when it hits red. not sure if he is right or not, or if i should start going to a new shop.

I've been at this since Sept / 2006. My old CX predates the CX2. And they have always done that. The green light indicates voltage. When the helicopter is at normal power levels the light is green. Full power draw pulls the voltage down so the light goes red. When you are in normal flight (hover or flying around) the light should be green. If it goes red during hover, stop and charge the battery.

If a bearing seizes or a motor binds, the light will go red during normal flight.

Yer Good to GO! Now get off the computer and go fly.

Status: offline 		Yeah I think its normal. Mine has always done that it has nothing to do with needing to charge your battery. My LHS test flys them when you buy it and it did the same thing there. He said it was ok. Now that I think of it my CP Pro does the same thing.
