i want to build a 4wd brushless truck. i have a rustler vxl with a 3s lipo, and its lots of fun. but, it doesnt handle well.
id really like to do a BL revo. but im not that wealthy. i havent tried to add up a projected cost, but i figure a revo roller-bl motor and esc-4s lipo is gonna cost be alot.

my second choice would be a BL e-maxx. not sure if the older versions will handle BL power without upgrades. i would like to stick with a VXL system, as my rustler had been very reliable/powerfull. im not sure if a vxl motor on 3s will be enough power for a
e-maxx??? can i mod a e-maxx to fit my venom 3s lipo(dont really want to run 2- 2s lipos)

any thoughts guys. id like to have a BL 4wd truck ready for next summer. doesnt have to go 70mph, but 45-55mph would be nice.

If you want to handle good you really dont need 4wd. At my track stock truck (27t motor) beats 4wd mod buggy by 2 seconds a lap!! I would get a T4 or xxx-t mf2 or maybe a b4 or xxx buggy as they handle extremely well. And it wont cost as much. The only part my mf2 broke was a front ball stud in a race. Racing takes more of a toll on your vehicles than bashing.

um, i want a good handling truck that can use a BL motor and 3s lipo! the rustler doesnt handle bad with a 27 turn motor, but with a vxl system it bearly keeps the front tires on the ground!

i want a off-roader that will handle well doing 40mph! the rustler is ok when its going in a line. but try to turn at anything over 30mph and it rolls. ive seen emaxx's and e-revos making pretty fast turns off-road.

are there any conversion kits for the MT2? i dont really have the skill to make my own BL motor mount ect.

i don't think so but mounts are really easy to make you just need a bl motor and then you can just get some sheet AL, (ild get 3mm thick) a autobody or machinest should be able to bend it 90 degrees then you just gotta drill the right holes, the person who bends it could do that too, then just mount it up on the motor mounts rip out the nito spefic stuff and make up a battery mount, you could just use some wood mounted to the chassie and a bar over it or hack up a regual rc chassie, and then you'll want this

and http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXURS9&P=M one of these, in a differnt tooth count if nessasary,

and youre really set

i'm converting a choas btw...

Aluminum doesn't bend well without losing strength. Go for angle aluminum as it's already bent and will be stronger.

I have seen many parts made from aluminum with common hand tools that work great. A dremel, file and a drill can do wonders with a bit of patience.
