Status: offline 		Pensacola is in the "cone of possibility" for a catagory 3 hurricane on Monday 9/1 or Tuesday 9/2. We have NOT made a decision as far as canceling. If the event is canceled, I will post that information immediately. So check this thread or give me a call at 850-501-0358 before traveling.

Lets hope for the best and have a good weekend in Pensacola.

Status: offline 		We are leaving New Orleans tomorrow morning and heading for Niceville for a few days. If things are still on, can you post directions to the field/link to the event website? I'll need something to do while over there and watching IMAC would be a nice way to spend an afternoon.

Status: offline 		Ed and to anyone else that would like to drive over and watch, here are the directions from Interstate 10 Freeway. Escambia Model Park and Fritz Field are all still Pensacola Model Park.
Here are the directions and here is the link if you want to check it out. Hope to see you there. The weather should be perfect this year.
Escambia Model Park IMAC

Escambia County Model Park ( Fritz Field )

GPS: N30°31.079 W087°20.691

Here are some driving directions:

FROM MOBILE, AL:
or
FROM TALLAHASSEE, FL:

Take I-10 to Pensacola.
Take the SR-297 exit -(Exit number 2) Turn South on Pine Forest Road towards Pensacola NAS
Just south of the Interstate, Turn right on Wilde Lake Blvd for 1 mile to Klondike.
Turn left on Klondike and go south a couple miles to Mobile Highway.
Turn right on Mobile Highway and go west to Jamesville Road.
Turn right on Jamesville Road and go north. There is also a small blue sign on Mobile Hwy that indicates "Escambia Model Park"
Proceed through the double Chain-link fence gates.

Directions on the website indicate exits 5 or 7 but they would actually be Exit 1 or 2. Also, the lefts and rights are switched.
I recommend the above directions, its what the locals drive to get to the field.
