Not exactly sure what you're looking for but I'll give it a try. They make 3 different series of controllers. There is the Phoenix, the Thunderbird, and the HV. Phoenix's generally go by Phoenix 25, 35, 45, 60, 80. The numbers indicate the amperage. The Phoenix 25 is good for up to 25 AMP's of current, The Phoenix 35 up to 35 AMP's and so forth. These are fairly expensive. The Thunderbirds are their less expensive brand and the number means the same as in the Phoenix. Thunderbird 36 up to 36 AMP's and so forth. Th HV are for use with high power setups. I'm talking more than 5 cell LiPo packs. Their most expensive series. Hope this helps. I use mostly the Phoenix series and they work very well.

well thanks for the help but i guess what i need is a way to determine which one in perticular that i have. it is not marked in any way and wraped in clear heat shrink, and i can find no numbers of any kind.

If you connect it to your computer with CastleLink it will tell you the model and software rev.

Tower has them as do other online shops. If you have some flying buddies or belong to a club, One of them may have it and be willing to hook yours up for identification.
