My 4#3B will take off but wont stay in the air. Its not the gear mesh, lipo, or gears. It almost sounds like gears, but there's not any wear to be found. Im thinking its either the motor or the connection/seal between the motor and pinion gear. What should I do about it? What parts do I need to replace? New Motor ?

Also, It hasnt seemed to be a huge problem yet, but after the first few crashes, a lot of slop has built up at the botom of the main shaft, so adjusting the mesh is constant. Then the main gear hits against the bat holder
Is there a fix to this?

How many battery packs do you have on the motor? If it is over 25 and you only have around 2-3 minutes of flying time you probably have to spend the 4 bucks on a new one.

There should be a little up/down play but not more than around a quater of a mm. You can loosen the collar that holds it in place and make sure that the screw is hitting the flat part of the main shaft. This should give the right meash and prevent it from sliding up/down and around.
