Its always hard to say, and there are always driving factors (not a pun). If you look at other things that were around for years but didn't take off right away, look at monster trucks they were around in the 80's but didn't really take off for probably around a decade or more later. Then of coarse there are all the off shoots of that IMO including Truggy and to some extent rock crawlers. I will say this much I will probably buy my first team associated AE truck ever. I really like the scale looks of the truck and after playing Dirt on the Xbox and enjoying CORR racing on there it does have some extra appeal. So add 1 more to your poll above, I hope its more that just a fad.

Well it is based off the truggy so if you would get sick of it you could convert it back to the truggy for pretty cheap. And buy a AE there amazng.

I think its based off the buggy with its shorter A arms, and I think you could convert it to a buggy for a new set of tires and a body. I never said they were not amazing, its just that ever since I've been back into the RC stuff about 10 years now I stuck with Losi and Traxxas but I now own a Ofna Hyper and a Sportwerks Turmoil. The main reason I stayed away from AE was an old animosity going back to HS when I almost always got my butt kicked by some RC 10 the old gold pan buggies.
I didn't want to get this far off topic, and as I said before I like the looks of the CORR Truck and will probably buy one (like I need another RC Truck)

Goodness, stop asking if this is "the next big thing."

everytime a new product comes out people are asking if that product will be "the next big thing"

And know, it wont be the next big thing, because most people wont be able to afford it.

Yeah plenty of us can afford it. It's sad to see so much animosity towards higher end vehicles now days.

You know after thinking about this a bit... almost everyone does it, and I'm not just talking in the RC world we always look for the next best computer or TV or high mileage car or whatever the product is.

So whats wrong with asking if this is the next big thing, whats wrong with wanting that cool new truck before everyone else has one if you don't like it you don't have to buy one.
